For Today - June 7, 2010

Outside my window...Sunny & super hot. I'm happy where I am - checking it out from my window.  It's too hot to venture outside (110F).

I am thinking...about having another cold smoothie after I finish this.  It's the perfect treat for this hot day.

I am thankful for...air conditioning.  We never give our 'creature comforts' a thought, until it's not there.

I am remembering...cooler temperatures!

On my mind...new ideas for blogger backgrounds that I hope to create.

I am pondering these words..."Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Psalm 37:4

From the learning rooms...to wait.

From the kitchen...not certain yet, but with the hot temps, I am thinking about a cold pasta salad, bread, & fresh fruit for dinner.  I definitely don't want anything hot.

I am wearing...blue capris & white shirt.

I am creating...a more organized computer.  I've been going through all of my graphics & separating them into more detailed folders - the seasons, holidays, ect.  I'm also creating graphics for some friends.

I am going...to do some digital scrapbooking pages today.

I am reading...my Bible & Strong Women, Soft Hearts.

I am hoping...that something Mike & I have been discussing lately, becomes a reality.

I am hearing...Emily laugh at Olivia - one of her favorite cartoon shows.

Around the house...cool & comfortable, thanks to our air conditioning.

One of my favorite things...creating graphics.

A few plans for the rest of the week...I have a very light week planned. Again, because of the heat.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...I decided to make this blogger background by scanning one of Emily's favorite outfits.  You are seeing the finished product.  Here's a photo of her in that outfit.  You can click on it to enlarge it to see it better.  Her capris are the bottom part of the blog & her top is the top part.  Notice her pockets on the outfit?  I cut them out in Paint Shop, & cut a daisy from the pocket out in Paint shop & put 3 of them in each of the pockets here. I added a drop shadow effect to them too, to make them stand out.  It was fun, & I love having a blogger background that is personal to me, & one that has meaning.  To me, it 'sceams' Summer.
