For Today - March 29, 2010

Outside my window...sunny, peaceful, & quiet - except for the singing of birds.

I am thinking...about how I wish I could have slept for another 2 hours (or  how I wish I would have went to bed 2 hours earlier).

I am thankful for...my sweet web friends.

I am remembering...to consciously live in the moment. Sometimes special moments come disguised as the simplest of times, & we don't realize how special it was until it has passed & we have revisited it in our memory. I have a picture of my brother & I, & I remember that day so vividly.  The reminiscing, the tears (we were losing our Mom), the talk, & laughter over growing up memories.  Little did I know that it would be the last picture I would ever get with him. I look back on that day now, & wish so badly that I would have squeezed every drop from it.  I have a quote now with that picture of us - "We do not know the true value of our moments until they become a memory."  So enjoy your moments!

On my mind...my sweet friend Pam. She lost her Uncle yesterday.  Loss is hard.

I am pondering these words..."It is God that girdeth me wth strength, and maketh my way perfect." Psalm 18:32

From the learning rooms....friends can shape us, just as family does.

From the kitchen...good stuff coming from there tonight - I'm making chicken fajitas, one of my family's favorites.

I am wearing...Mickey & Minnie Mouse jammies - I am still a child at heart.

I am creating...a photo book for Elliot & Emily that showcases their childhood.

I am going...to take a long, bubble bath with Emily later.  This is such a sweet shared time for us. Lots of  bubbles, lots of talk, lots of laughter - it's all good.

I am reading...my Bible,  Lives Our Mothers Leave Us (by Patti Davis), emails,  & some magazines.

I am hoping...that my friend figures out how to use blogger - I'm so excited that she's going to give this a try.

I am hearing...our fur baby Tinkerbell meowing by my feet.  She's telling me that she wants me off of this computer & into the kitchen to feed her.

Around the house...excitement about my new french door refrigerator that is going to be delivered tomorrow.  I've wanted one since I first saw them years ago.  Good things 'do' come to those who wait!

One of my favorite things...curling up with a book.

A few plans for the rest of the week...work on my photo books, work on a website, some sprucing up in our home, work on some graphics, & enjoy another week with Elliot & Emily.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...Emily's constant sidekick - LillyTrixieLilly (or "Lilly for short", as she tells everyone).  She told me that Lilly wanted to "look pretty today".

  9. Hi Judy, Thanks for stopping by. I have relatives on my father's side in Vegas. I appreciated reading through your entry as well. I specifically liked what you said in your remembering segment. One of my goals this year is to be intentional with my time- with God, my marriage, and with my children. Have a blessed Easter!

  10. Hi Judy. I love your blog design. Chicken fajitas are one of our favorites too. I have been wanting to make my own tortillas but haven't tried it yet. Do you make your own? I love your picture, especially the basket of lemons. Are they real? I bet your kitchen smells great.
