FOR TODAY - Monday, February 9, 2009

Outside my window...I hear the winds howling!

I am thinking...about the homeless that have no warmth of home & bed tonight, as this wind & cold temperatures visit Las Vegas. My heart aches for them, & pray that they can find shelter.

I am thankful for...my home & family, & a warm bed to crawl into tonight.

From the learning rooms...I am learning that time goes by too quickly, as we prepare to celebrate Elliot's 6th!

From the kitchen...it's closed for the night, but will welcome us for breakfast tomorrow morning.

I am wearing...pj's, & thinking that I need to put on warmer ones.

I am creating...finishing touches on Elliot's room. I want it to be a special place for him.

I am going...to miss these days with Elliot & Emily so much when they grow up.

I am reading...children's storybooks with Elliot & Emily, my Bible, Purpose Driven Life, & Adventurous Prayer.

I am hoping...that tomorrow is a special day for Elliot as we celebrate his 6th birthday.

I am hearing...the wind outside my window, & my computer keys as I type.

Around the house...Elliot, Emily, & I deep cleaned today, so everything is sparkling!

One of my favorite things...my evening ritual with Elliot & Emily - baths, storytime, cuddles, a bedtime snack, & then tucking them in with kisses, hugs, & prayers.

A few plans for the rest of the week...celebrate Elliot's birthday tomorrow, catch up with blog reads, post on my blog (I've neglected that lately), do my meal planning, shop.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...We are celebrating Elliot's 6th birthday tomorrow. Here he is at about 10 minutes old. I will never forget that first time of seeing him. It didn't seem real. I thought he was so beautiful, & fell head over heels in love!

  4. Hi Judy.
I think it is so awesome the way you wrap your world around Elliot and Emily. They are truly blessed to have you for a "Nana". Elliot was a beautiful baby! I can see why you fell 'head over heals' :)
    Love ya!
