For Today - October 18, 2010

Outside my window...dark.  Only a few homes still have their lights on.  I'm getting a really late start to this post.  I had Avery today, so does that explain why? :-)

I am thinking...I need to be better organized in some areas of my life.

I am thankful for...memories. For the past few days, my Mom & my brother have been in my thoughts so much.  I've been smiling at the memories they left me with.  Many tears too - I miss them both so much!

I am remembering...my Mom & my brother.  I am 'so' thankful that God placed me in the family that He did.  They shaped me in so many ways.  I love seeing them in me.

On my mind...how am I shaping my family?  What memories am I giving them to hold to?

I am pondering these words..."It's surprising how much memory is built around things unnoticed at the time." ~Barbara Kingsolver~

From the kitchen...closed at this late hour, but earlier we had a taco dinner.  'Lots' of guacamole!  As you know, Emily could eat an entire bowl of it herself (as could I).

I am wearing...pajamas.

I am creating...still working on the photo montage for my MIL.

I am going...to read for awhile before I go off to bed.

I am reading...my Bible & The Hiding Place, by Corrie Ten Boom.

I am hoping...my MIL gets better news when they do the final tests.

I am hearing...a tv program that Mike is watching.

Around the house...blessings abound!

One of my favorite things...the smell of rain (yes, we got some here yesterday!)

A few plans for the rest of the week...appointment for Tinkerbell, grocery shopping, catch up with blog reads, work on some photos, enjoy my days with Elliot & Emily, smile 'lots'!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...Tinkerbell loves to hop up on my desk here & watch me as I play on the computer.  She's 'so' sweet!

  3. Another lovely and joyous entry, Judy! Guacamole is so yummy! You and Emily would never believe what *horror* you can find here! There is a supermarket that sell for Guacamole a mix of mashed peas and double cream! *argh* :(
The quote from Barbara Kingsolver is lovely and so right! Thanks for sharing! *huggles* :)
