A Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today - September 13, 2009

Outside my window...beautiful day, but fall isn't in sight.  It's supposed to be 95 here today. :-( 

I am thinking...about the full day I have ahead of me, & the little girl that is anxioulsy awaiting to come join us in this day (Avery).   

I am thankful for...memories.  I was thinking about my brother Charles yesterday, & laughing out loud at some of the things we had talked about or done.  How I miss him!  It still seems unreal that he's gone. 

I am remembering...our lazy, relaxing weekend.  Heard of pj days?  Well, this was a pj weekend! 

On my mind...all that I want to do today - wish so badly I could have 10 more hours in each day.     

I am pondering these words...Time is infinitely more precious than money, and there is nothing in common between them.  You can't accumulate time; you cannot borrow time; you can never tell how much time you have left in the bank of life.  Time is life... 

From the learning rooms...I'm learning so much about my iPad, & the more I learn, the more I love it.  It's amazing what you can get on it & the things you can do. 

From the kitchen...it will be quiet tonight...hubby called a few minutes ago & said to be ready to go out for dinner tonight (Mimi's).  

I am wearing...still in pj's - Mickey Mouse ones. :-)  I am a big kid at heart!

I am creating...'Tappy Memories'.  It is a program designed so that you can write your life story.  I found the app in the app store for my iPad, & it's going to be a lot of fun.  Some of the questions are thought provoking.  Some, I will have to dig deep to remember - like how I felt on my first day of school.  There are set questions to make it easy, but you can also add your own questions.  The catagories are personal, creativity, education, work, & travel, & tons of questions under each category. You can also add photos with each entry, & you add audio if you'd like to answer a question that way.  Can you tell that I am excited about this venture???  Once I finish it, which will probably be a 'long' while, I'll have it bound into a book for each of my children, & give it to them. I had my Mom fill out a book for me years before she died, & I cherish that book...it told me many things about her that I never knew, & that I would have never known.  How I would have loved to have her be able to answer some of those via audio, & to be able to listen to her now.  Here's the link if you'd like to check it out - Tappy Memories.  It's a neat program!  Simple too.

I am going...to fix me a smoothie in a few minutes.  I love all the fresh fruit in it. 

I am reading...my Bible, What Difference Do It Make, along with a few other shorter books. 

I am hoping...my friend gets good news on her Mom soon. 

I am hearing...Emily singing to Tinkerbell. 

Around the house...cleaned up & ready to start our day. 

One of my favorite things...my iPad...I'm 'so' in love with this gadget! 

A few plans for the rest of the week...sit down to meal plan, grocery shopping, create some graphics, enjoy my days with the kids, & chase Avery (she will be here this afternoon).  

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...Avery will be here in a few hours...she'll be here for a week.  She is so sweet, but oh so active!
