For Today - August 2, 2010

Outside my window...another late post, so it's quiet & dark outside.

I am thinking...about so many things - my son & his painful past few weeks,  my sister who just lost her son Saturday night,  & my son that lost his job today.

I am thankful for...the Hope we find in Christ.

I am remembering...memories of my nephew Eric.

On my mind...my family back in Indiana as they prepare to say good-bye to my nephew Eric.

I am pondering these words..."And now, Lord, what do I wait for? my hope is in you." Psalm 39:7

From the learning rooms...tomorrow isn't promised to us.  Enjoy every single day & take each opportunity to let those that you love, KNOW that you love them!

From the kitchen...still clean from after lunch.  We went out to dinner tonight (Chili's).

I am wearing...jammies.

I am creating...a warm, loving, inviting home, & lots of memories!

I am going...to so enjoy sinking into bed tonight! It's been a long day!

I am reading...my Bible - that's all I've had time for this past week.

I am hoping...my son Shad gets good news on Thursday, & that my son Brandon finds another job soon.

I am hearing...a message by Charles Stanley - A Pattern of Powerful Prayer.

Around the house...quiet & 'very' clean.  We did a major going through of things & cleaning over the weekend.

One of my favorite things...posting here in my Simple Woman's Daybook.

A few plans for the rest of the week...grocery shopping, talk to my sister each day, clean the garage (Emily & Elliot are so excited about this - they love it!), send out some snail mail, enjoy my family.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...We had to run some errands, & Emily asked me to not look  while she drew something in our driveway before we left.  She finished it & asked me to look, & told me to look at it & always remember how much she loves me.  I'm going to print it out & put it where I will see it everyday & be reminded of how much this little girl loves me.
