For Today - July 19, 2010

Outside my window...dark, since I'm posting this at 11pm at night (better late than never, right?), & still so hot - 100F!

I am thinking...how I wish it would cool down, even 10 degrees cooler would be so nice.

I am thankful for...air conditioning!

I am remembering...my talk with Emily as we went on our nightly walk tonight.  I cherish these times with her.

On my mind...my son Shad.

I am pondering these words..."for the joy of the Lord is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10

From the learning rooms...no matter how grown up our children are, we still want to scoop them up in our arms when they are hurting.

From the kitchen...at this hour - closed up till morning!

I am wearing...brown capris & pink t-shirt.

I am creating...I'm still working on my 4th of July scrapbook pages.

I am going...to bed very soon.

I am reading...my Bible & 'I Will Carry You', by Angie Smith

I am hoping...it cools down over the next few days, but that is wishful thinking in Las Vegas.

I am hearing...not a sound (except for the keys as I type) - everyone has been in bed for awhile now.

Around the house...quiet, since I'm the only one up.

One of my favorite things...talking to my sister Jenny on the phone.  We laugh so much!

A few plans for the rest of the week...stay in & stay cool, have fun with Elliot & Emily, finish my 4th of July scrapbook pages, finish a couple of books, enjoy my family.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...Emily wanted to buy fresh corn over the weekend, so we did.  She was so proud after she "peeled" (her words) her first ear.

  1. Emily will love to cook because she thinks it is fun. We have the same counters. Are your scrap books digital? Do you print them out? At home or somewhere else?

  4. I am so thankful I don't live in Vegas! I cannot imagine being in that heat! It has been in the high 80's to low 90's here but the humidity has been just horrible and that is what I can't handle. Love Emily and her corn, I had some this weekend also! Yummo! Lily sure looks perky since her body lift! You did good! Talk soon!
