For Today - Monday, June 28, 2010

Outside my window...beautiful & sunny.  All's quiet on our street - again, probably because everyone is trying to escape this blistering heat (110F today).

I am thinking...about all the scrapbooks that we will have to look back upon.  Elliot & Emily are going to have every little thing documented.  I hope they will feel as loved & cherished as they are, when they look at these.

I am thankful for...the comforts of being able to stay cool in our home, even when it's topped 100 degrees outside.

I am remembering...the fun we had for our slumber parties on Friday night.  We will definitely be doing this once a month.

On my mind...some scrapbook pages that I want to do.  I take so many pictures, so I'm not sure I will ever catch up to scrapbooking all that I want to do.

I am pondering these words..."He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." Psalm 147:3

From the learning rooms...still learning more digiscrapbook techniques.  It's fun, but very addicting!

From the kitchen...Mike doesn't know this yet, but the kitchen is going to be quiet tonight (except for the lemon swirl ice cream that Emily picked out).  When he gets home, he'll find out that he's taking us out to eat.

I am wearing...white top & brown capris.

I am creating...some digiscrap pages on Elliot.

I am going...out to eat tonight, & then come home to relax.  Today was cleaning day, so I am so looking forward to doing 'nothing'.

I am reading...my Bible & one of my books on vitamin cures.  I am a fanatic when it comes to 'natural' & taking vitamins.

I am hoping...I can help Elliot & Emily fill their summer with fun & memories.

I am hearing...'Martha Speaks'...one of Emily's favorite PBS children's program.

Around the house...quiet & sparkling after a day of cleaning.

One of my favorite things...looking forward to enjoying a relaxing evening after a day of cleaning from top to bottom.

A few plans for the rest of the week...finish a few digiscrap pages, help Elliot & Emily go through all of their toys - we'll be giving lots to Goodwill, do my meal planning for the next couple of weeks, organize my kitchen cabinets (AGAIN) - I give Emily two to organize, & she does an incredible job, & enjoy my days & my family.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...I showed Avery some pictures of Emily on my digital camera.  When I started taking pictures of her, she kept trying to look into the lens & she kept saying "Hi Emily!  Hi Emily!" Then she would ask me "Is Emily in there?"  I guess she thought she was actually in the camera. :-)  I love how a child's mind  works!  Here she is trying to see Emily in the lens.
