A Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY - February 23, 2009

Outside my window...We were greeted with a gray over-cast sky. It looks as though the sky is going to open up any moment & pour rain down upon us, even though the weather forecast said it would be sunny & 70F today.

I am thinking...about how very blessed I am.

I am thankful for...a new week. So many dread Mondays, but I have always loved them. It's a clean slate - wide open for adventures & blessings!

From the learning rooms...I haven't attempted to sew in years, but this week Emily & I are going to a fabric store to purchase a pattern & material. I am going to make her a dress. She is so excited!

From the kitchen...coffee is waiting. I love, love, love the aroma!

I am wearing...baby blue sweats.

I am creating...a new casserole meal for tonight. My little kitchen helper is very excited, looking forward to her part in the preparation.

I am going...to begin our homeschool day as soon as I finish this post.

I am reading...my Bible & a stack of magazines that I want to get through.

I am hoping...that the sky isn't just teasing us, & that we get rain.

I am hearing...Mickey Mouse Clubhouse & the chatter of Elliot & Emily.

Around the house...everything is clean, ready for our day & our week. Emily & I did our major weekly housecleaning on Saturday, & our work paid off.

One of my favorite things...starting the day with Elliot & Emily in bed with me. We lay there, talk, sing little songs, & then pray together before starting our day.

A few plans for the rest of the week...starting my sewing project, grocery shopping, celebrate my birthday.
