A Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window...another late night post, so dark.  Still so very hot, even at this late hour.  

I am thinking...about all I have accomplished over the past few days. I'm in the midst of a MAJOR cleaning binge.  Decluttering & organizing is work, but so much fun to reap the rewards of it.  

I am thankful for...my two little helpers...Elliot & Emily have worked right alongside me. 

I am remembering...the fun of working with Elliot & Emily today.  I try to make work so much fun for them.  I don't ever want them to equate work with 'drudgery' & boring.  Of course, it helped in the fun to break & head off to get Starbucks & a dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme!  

On my mind...the closets that I cannot wait to tackle tomorrow!   

From the learning rooms...my resolve is weak when a box of Krispy Kremes are in the kitchen. :) 

From the kitchen...I just enjoyed a delicious custard filled donut from Krispy Kreme!  It's a bad snack to have right before bed, but it was calling to me, & I had to answer. 

I am wearing...white capris & lavendar t-shirt. 

I am creating...a well organized home - a place for everything, & everything in its place.  Sadly though, I'll be doing it again in a few months.  Oh well...I guess that goes with being a 'domestic engineer'! 

I am going...to bed very soon, & plan on sleeping like a rock!  Which by the way, Emily asked me what that meant - she asked "Do rocks really sleep?"  When I said "No", she said "Then why do you say that?"  I had no answer, exept that maybe it mean you were so tired, that you would sleep really hard.  Anyone out there care to answer her question? Emily is very good at making you think. 

I am reading...my Bible, & a stack of magazines that I hope to dwindle down to nothing this week. 

I am hoping...still hoping for jobs for my two sons.  

I am hearing...blissful silence. 

Around the house...looking good! 

One of my favorite things...the feeling that comes with deep cleaning room by room, & seeing it when finished.  

A few plans for the rest of the week...continue with my cleaning from top to bottom, & enjoying my sweet helpers. 

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...3 of my big loves.  Why is Emily giving this look of "What in the world!??"  Because Avery was jabbering away with nothing but jibberish. When I asked her "What are you doing Avery?"  She repiled "Oh, I just 'peaking Panish'."  'peaking Panish' is 'speaking Spanish'. :)
