FOR TODAY - March 9, 2009

Outside my window...the sun is shining brightly - not a cloud in the sky. The wind is having fun with the trees - tossing the leaves & branches every which way!

I am thinking...about how wonderful it feels to feel good, after not feeling well all day. It feels as though I have lost an entire day, & I hate that feeling.

I am thankful for...health!

From the learning rooms...no matter what is going on on the 'outside', we can have peace on the 'inside'.

From the kitchen...cleaned up from dinner. Since I didn't feel well all day, Mike insisted on picking up take out on his way home. I didn't resist his offer.

I am wearing...black pants & purple top.

I am creating...some small Raggedys in Paint Shop.

I am going...to enjoy the evening with Dancing With the Stars, along with Emily.

I am reading...Joy For the Journey, Managing Your Moods, my Bible.

I am hoping...that I feel 100% by tonight. I still don't feel completely well.

I am hearing...Emily chatter to me as she watches 'The Upside Down Show'.

Around the house...I was on a cleaning binge this weekend, so everything is sparkling!

One of my favorite things...a nice long soak on our jacuzzi bathtub. I took one this morning when I awoke not feeling so great. It works wonders. The best thing about this, is Emily enjoying it with me.

A few plans for the rest of the week...send out some packages, work on my Raggedys, grocery shopping, enjoy my family.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...before my Mom died, she gave each of us daughters (5 of us) $100, & told us to go shop & buy a little something from her. I wanted to spend my money on things that would be a memory of her, & wanted to spend it right away, so that I could share my buys with her. One of her sayings was always "Life is good!"...no matter what was going on in her life, she would say this. I was thrilled when I found this plate by Lang. It has a place of honor on my kitchen counter. Every single time I look at it, I think of her. I found a few things with this saying, & bought them. Mom was right, life 'is' good.

  2. Hi Judy,
Hope you're all better by the time you read this! You're right - we forget how good it is to feel good until we're not feeling so good.

  3. I'm so sorry to hear you've not been feeling well today :-( Hope you feel better soon Sweetie!

I love your plate. It reminds me of the picture frame I gave my sister for Christmas with my Mom's favorite saying on it (which I'll have to go get one for me too!). Our Moms really were special ladies weren't they? We were so blessed!! I'm glad you have that beautiful plate to enjoy and think about your precious Mom!

    Big hugs xo

  4. Hi Judy, I hope you're feeling all back to normal by now. You have a kind husband to take care of dinner for you when you're not feeling good. How sweet of him.

I LOVED reading about your mom. What a sweet reminder she has given you and a lovely way to remember her. It's such a positive thought. You are blessed.

God bless your week with good health and fulfillment in Him.

    Love, Mary

  5. PS Thank you for your loving encouragement about creating. I don't know if I'll ever be able to do with Mary's Little Lamb what I used to do before Klaus left this earth. It takes a lot of alone at home time to what I did. You know how many hours go into a simple drawing just to get it right. I have so many outside ....not interests but......obligations that keep me involved and away from the pull of drawing for the Internet. I have to force myself away from creating on the computer almost every day. So, I don't know what the answer may be.

We need a table and a cup of coffee or tea between us to talk about this. Right?

I missed DWTS on Monday, forgot it was starting so I will have to try and tune in next week, didn't even see the results this week either!
